Elizabeth (Liz) M. Birlet, M.S., brings over 25 years of leadership and management experience from an array of nonprofits, including university systems, medical enterprises, humanitarian sector, and college preparatory schools. She has extensive experience in all aspects of fundraising.

Liz has fostered the careers, inspired, and mentored dozens of advancement professionals. She is a creative and focused team leader with exceptional collaborative skills, strategic vision, and a long-standing commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in workforce equity. Liz has advised and assisted nonprofits nationwide. She has served on planning committees and presented at numerous conferences, including AIRI, CASE, AFP, AAMC, NAIS, and APRA.

She is a board member for AFP’s Greater Los Angeles Chapter and the Southern California Association for Healthcare Development. Liz is a past board member for Sound Mental Health in Seattle; the Mental Health Center and The Reading Group in Illinois; Sacred Heart Schools in Chicago and held membership in the Junior Leagues of Chicago and Boston.

She obtained her B.A. in Liberal Arts from Roosevelt University in Chicago and a M.S. in Journalism with a focus on biomedical science from the University of Illinois.
