Scarlett’s expertise has developed during more than 30 years in executive management with leading health care, higher ed and social service organizations. She is an innovative, results-oriented strategist, with a reputation for excellence and a proven track record of success with organizations seeking significant advances in fundraising, marketing, branding, communications, leadership engagement and governance, and strategic planning.
Scarlett has served as Vice Dean at the University of Southern California (USC), leading strategic initiatives, marketing and fundraising as part of the team which raised $7 billion. Prior to USC, she was the President of the Be.Group Foundation and Executive VP of Be.Group responsible the development of its 501c3 foundation and corporate-wide marketing, branding and communications. She also led the development of institution-changing fundraising programs and campaigns at Art Center College of Design, Saint John’s Health Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, California Hospital Medical Center and Children’s Bureau, ranging from $40M to $130M.
Scarlett approaches her work with organizations through a mission-focused lens, having received a MSW from Jane Addams School of Social Work at University of Illinois, Chicago and BS degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Iowa State University. She has lived and worked in Southern California for over 35 years and resides in Altadena, CA.
