Laurie has more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector working to bring significant philanthropic support to higher education, healthcare, hospice and global missions. She has a proven track record of establishing and executing results driven programs that accomplish outreach, education, advocacy and philanthropic support; and has planned and executed several multi-million-dollar campaigns.
Laurie has a Bachelor of Science in Communications with a minor in Business Management from the University of Maryland and a Master in Science in Non-Profit Management from Eastern University in Philadelphia. She also received her Planned Giving Certification from Indiana University. Laurie has experience as a national presenter in a broad range of fundraising topics as well as a community presenter and educator.
Laurie views fundraising as an opportunity to connect a person’s motivation with an organization’s mission in order to inspire deeper engagement. Whether someone chooses to give their time, talent or treasure, she says her role is to help them do so in a way that feels meaningful to them while helping to move the mission of the organization forward.
