Albert S. Seminsky, Jr.


Al is a fundraising professional with 22 years of experience in executive and consultative philanthropy and advancement programming. Before joining The Giving Collaborative, Al served as Executive Director of Development at Montefiore Health System, where he led the fundraising programs of the hospital system and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. With an extensive background in campaign strategy and management, Al has served in senior philanthropy leadership roles with some of the country’s largest institutions of higher education and academic medicine, including most recently the University of Miami during their $1.5 billion campaign, and Mount Sinai Medical Center’s $1.8 billion Special Times, Special Places comprehensive initiative. Al’s experience in consultative fundraising as the former Associate Vice President with IDC, Inc., has afforded him the experience of working with over 100 not-for-profit organizations in education, medicine, the arts, social programs, animal-related, and religious-based organizations, with his teams raising over $750 million for these organizations. Al serves on the alumni board as philanthropy advisor for Delta Tau Delta Fraternity’s Gamma Chapter at Washington & Jefferson College (W&J), and volunteers for the Pennsylvania southwest region’s chapter of March of Dimes, Altoona, PA. Al is a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College and Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
